1. How many nights are we staying? We will be staying at camp for 2 nights and 3 days.
2. What time do we go to bed? We don't know exactly what the bedtime will be just yet, but it will probably be in between 8 and 9pm.
3. What type of gear do we need to bring? We will give you all a list of what you need to bring to camp closer to the time. The most important things will be: Comfy shoes for walking and warm clothes for the evenings.
4. Do we bring food? No, yummy food will be provided by the camp (we'll even be having hot dogs one night!)
5. Should we wear trainers? Yes! Comfy shoes are essential.
6. Are we allowed to talk at night? We imagine that you will have lots to chat about in your rooms, but it will be important that you don't stay up too late so you are not too tired for the activities the next day.
7. Are the teachers going to the camp? Yes, we will be coming of course!
8. Will adults be staying in your room? No, adults will stay in their own rooms.
9. Are you allowed to bring your ipad? No!
10. How many parents do we need? 6 parents will come with us to camp.
11. How many people in your room? There are 2 room sizes. Some have 6 bunks and some have 12 bunks. We will work together to choose who will sleep in each room.
12. What will we do at camp? There will be so many different activities such as: rock climbing; archery; air rifle; orienteering; waterslide; mini golf; trampolines; volleyball. Something for everyone!
13. Will it be fun? YES! We will work together to make sure everyone has a wonderful time at camp.

Hemi's Robot - Tī Kōuka Writer's are World Famous in New Zealand!
Last term Tī Kōuka kids wrote some fantastic stories and drew some fantastic robots based on a story starter by comedian Dai Henwood (bit.ly/2JxRmUy). We sent these on to Dai, and have just heard back...he loved them!

25/2/18 Speedy Gonzales! What a great day we had at the Duathlon on the 12th of Feb. We are so proud of all our Tī Kōuka students who participated.
7/2/18 Busy bees in the classroom! We've had a wonderful start to the year, and the Tī Kōuka kids have already got their heads down and tails up, getting stuck into some great projects. We have written about our holidays; made a class korowai (cloak); written a class treaty; enjoyed the activities organised by WMI at the Community Fun Day; and shown off our skills in the pool. We'll be uploading photos of all of these things throughout the coming weeks, so keep an eye out.
